A haze lingers over the beach in Orewa on the North Island of New Zealand as a sports enthusiast prepares his power kite for take off in the winds which blow across the region. The waves crash up against the sandy shores as whitecaps are scattered across the water making the conditions ideal for kitesurfing.Preparation of the power kite is extremely important and everything needs to be intact to ensure safety is the first concern while kitesurfing. This can easily become a very dangerous sport if safety and the proper equipment is not used.
