As you journey to the top of the Petrin Observation Tower located on Petrin Hill in the Czech Republic, you can see for miles across the landscape and get an actual feel of how big Prague is. There are different views from the tower and after you take a picture or two of the surrounding area, you can join them altogether to see the entire city.
The observation tower was built in 1891 and stands at about sixty meters high. Add this to the fact that Petrin Hill is 318 meters above the city and you can understand why you get such an amazing view of Prague in the Czech Republic. To get to this viewing platform, you must climb two hundred and ninety-nine steps but once you reach this point you can see across the city of Prague for about one hundred and fifty kilometers on a clear day.

The city of Prague is made up of four specific areas with the Old Town, the New Town and the Jewish Quarter being on one side of the Vitava River and the Lesser Quarter or Mala Strana being on the other. On the Mala Strana side of the city, you can find your way up to the historic grounds of Prague Castle which is open to the public.
Along the river there are many bridges that make crossing from one side of the city to the other fairly easy. The famous Charles Bridge is included in these along with the Mala Strana Bridge and the Old Town Bridge.
The Petrin Observation Tower in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic is one of the best places for a scenic view and from here you can picture the entire city as one. Definitely a destination that is a worthwhile tourist stop while in Prague in the Czech Republic.
