At the western end of the village of Aiguines in Provence, France the Chateau glows in the gold lighting just after sunset. The chateau and the village both have astonishing views of the large lake known as Lac de Sainte Croix and the surrounding countryside.The elegant 17th century chateau is privately owned and was sold, restored and bought again at four different times. The current owners have lived in the Chateau in Provence, France since 1989.As you stand in the village of Aiguines and look out over the horizon at Lac de Sainte Croix and the Verdon Canyon you can actually see as far as the Plateau de Valensole. Sunset is one of the best times of the day to enjoy the scenery as the sun performs magic in the sky before it calls it quits for another day.Lac de Ste Croix is the largest lake of the Verdon Lakes where you can enjoy any water activity that you can imagine.
