Purple colored orchids with this much beauty to them can be a little finicky when trying to grow them in your house. At the Victoria Butterfly Gardens they flourish nicely in the high humidity of the Tropical Gardens. Growing purple orchids on your own is not out of reach but they do require a warm atmosphere. Some orchids can adapt to comfortable temperatures if they are cared and tended to properly.They are not partial to direct sunlight and low light conditions or diffused sunlight seems to work the best. The orchids can grow to be two feet tall and two feet wide when properly cared for.Colors of the orchid include purple, white, pink, lavender and yellow in either solid hues or striped variations.
