Ferns are hardy plants which grow very easily, even along the banks of the Rainbow and Cascade Terrace at Orakei Korako on the North Island of New Zealand. The colorful thermal terrace is a stunning place to see while at Orakei Korako as the landscape swirls in an array of hues encompassed by the green shades of plant life thriving in this geothermal region. The Rainbow and Cascade Terraces are located at the bottom of two other lower terraces and here geysers of minimal magnitude are found. A list of approximately 35 geysers make up the geothermal landscape of Orakei Korako, an area which is protected so there is no further increase of development. It remains as a tourist attraction to update people on the natural wonders of the world.Ferns growing alongside the Rainbow and Cascade Terrace at Orakei Korako, near Taupo, North Island, New Zealand.
