Introduced to New Zealand, the Rainbow Lorikeet can be found around Western Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong but this particular fellow resides at the Auckland Zoo. The markings of the Rainbow Lorikeet are extremely striking but they seem to blend in with different types of forestland without any problem.
While visiting the Auckland Zoo in New Zealand you can have a look at the Rainbow Lorikeet but you can also view them in their natural habitat around Auckland, New Zealand. They are actually considered more of a nuisance than just another pretty sight and will often be seen in groups where they strip trees containing fresh fruit.
The Rainbow Lorikeet loves to spend times in large flocks where they sit in trees being very noisy, active and sociable which gives people one more reason to find the Rainbow Lorikeet annoying.
