This couple is enjoying a romantic sunset over George Lake in Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario. In this busy world we live in, it can sometimes be the perfect way to relax when you can just stop and take a moment to appreciate the beautiful lake scenery around you. Do as this couple have done and remove your hiking shoes, take a seat on the rock, snuggle close together and watch the sun disappear behind the wilderness clad mountains. The sky will turn all kinds of soft colours and bathe the surrounding water and trees in a delicate glow. If you are alone it can be a very romantic event for every couple.
George Lake is a popular destination within the wilderness of Killarney Provincial Park as it is one of the best lakes for canoeing or kayaking and as can be seen in this view here, it is a beautiful lake to explore. ... continue below the picture...
... This is also where the one campground in the park is located, so it can get quite busy, but if you can find a quiet rock on which to sit and admire the view, it can seem like you are the only two in the world.
Exploring Killarney Provincial Park may feel like you are stepping into a painting, and there is a reason for this as Canada's most famous group of painters, The Group of Seven, used to come to this park to paint. They were so taken with the gorgeous scenery that they wanted to capture it on a canvas and that is why the area is now a park and is protected land.
