Light infiltrates the Sala de Abencerrajes, or Hall of the Abencerrajes, at the famous La Alhambra in the city of Granada, through a total of 16 graceful, and delicate fretwork windows which are placed in the star shaped dome ceiling.
When the natural Andalusian sunlight reaches the interior walls which are a flat light yellow colour it turns them to gold.
The intricate details of the carvings at the pinnacle of the dome as well as the walls are only highlighted in this natural glow of light.
