The L'Oceanografic features an impressive Oceans section which allows visitors to see various ocean dwelling fish including the a variety of Sharks (such as the Sand Tiger Shark), Stingrays, black mackerel, and guitarfish just to name a few.
The Sand Tiger Shark can reach lengths of around 3 metres (10.5 feet) and eats mostly crustaceans, small sharks, stingrays, squid and small fish.
There is some confusion over the correct scientific name for the Sand Tiger Shark and varys from one country to another.
