As you look up to the peak of the mountain landscape in the Val d'Aran in the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain, you can see where the water starts at the top making its way downwards. It drops off the rock cliffs and meanders through the mountainous wilderness until reaching the famous waterfall known as the Sauth deth Pish.Here the water drops over the rock ledges to depths below where a strong undertow can pull you under before the Arriu de Varrados continues on to the next rock ledge. The river then makes its way over the next set of rock ledges, not nearly as steep as the Sauth deth Pish, creating another beautiful waterfall before the river begins to flatten out for a while.On either side of the river, the landscape of the Val d'Aran in Catalonia, Spain is adorned with lush greenery which flourishes beneath the rays of the sun, more so in the summer months. ... The Sauth deth Pish is a spectacular sight to see while hiking through the Val d'Aran in Catalonia, Spain especially when the Arriu de Varrados is rapidly flowing. Experienced kayakers have found the Sauth deth Pish to be one of the most exciting waterfalls where they can truly put their skills to the test.
