Situated at the southern end of the famous Heaphy Track on the South Island of New Zealand, Kohaihai Beach is steeped in the typical beautiful scenic landscape that the West Coast is known for.
Native bush punctuated by nikau palms, carpets the hilly landscape right down to the scenic coastline. A DoC campsite is situated near the beach along the banks of the Kohaihai River which flows into the Tasman Sea at this point.
