There are several country roads which lead through Death Valley National Park. The scenic desert road pictured here is leading towards the Black Mountains, one of the main ranges that fringe Death Valley.
The black bitumen of this desert road with its bright yellow centre line is super heated under the blazing sun, shining down from a bright blue sky with occasional puffy clouds.
The Black Mountains, to where this scenic desert road leads, is the location of the spectacular Artists Palette and they also fringe Badwater Basin, two impressive stops during a visit in Death Valley National Park.
