This scenic fall picture captures perfectly the bright and contrasting colours of fall as the leaves change on the trees and prepare for the winter. This picture was taken in the Central Kootenay region of British Columbia in a place called Crawford Bay. The sky seems so unnaturally blue here that it looks as if it as been painted in and if you look closely you can just see the grey roof of a shed or barn peeking out amongst the trees.
When the weather is changing from the warm summer sun to the colder temperatures of the fall the leaves on the trees start to turn a different colour before they release down to the ground in the winter. Not all trees lose their leaves however, and the trees in the background by the shed or barn are not going to lose their leaves because they are still green. ... continue below the picture...
... The magnificent tree with the red leaves in the foreground will lose its leaves though as they have changed colour.
Crawford Bay is known for being naturally beautiful and this view here is just a small glimpse of it. It borders Kootenay Lake and is known for being quiet and the perfect place to 'get away from it all'. Many come here to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and fall is a perfect time to admire the stunning surroundings.
