School groups get to spend special days on field trips and this one consists of a canoeing adventure on the Jacques Cartier River in Quebec, Canada. Here the children will learn about the wilderness that surrounds Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier and take in the beauty of the Autumn colors.
The colors of the mountains are spectacular at this time of year and the school groups that venture here get to see Autumn at its best. As these canoeing groups paddle along the calm waters of the river, they will also learn about the prehistory and history of Quebec and Canada as well as the unique wilderness that surrounds them.
Before heading out on their canoeing trip, the school groups can visit the information centre where they will see exhibits, audio-visual shows and demonstrations. Safety is the first priority when out on the river and all the children from the school groups will be fitted for life jackets. Canoes are readily available for rent at the information centre and a quick lesson on the safety issues while canoeing is something that children as well as adults need to know before taking to the Jacques Cartier River in Quebec, Canada.
This is one type of lesson that children throughly enjoy and one that they will never forget. It gives these children a chance to spend the day in the wilderness and learn the techniques of canoeing.
