A dream for whale watchers - sea creatures at its best: a Humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) and Pacific White Sided Dolphins (Lagenorhynchus Obliquidens) at sunset in Johnstone Strait off Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
One of those very special and unique moments just after sunset in Johnstone Strait, flat calm, great colors and a humpback whale "escorted" by a few dolphins. I love to watch and experience when different sea creatures interact like that. We could do only a very little whale watching after this shot as the sun was setting fast and we needed to go back in before dark but we seen those animals interacting till we left - I'm sure they were keeping up the fun.
