As leaves fall from the trees along the road to Rock Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada it brings the Autumn season closer to its finale. Every day that passes and the more leaves that scatter across the forest floor means that the Winter season is not that far off.
Each leaf that drops from the branches above brings its life cycle to a finale but in turn prepares the forest for its new growth in the Spring. The landscape will become almost completely covered from all the leaves that fall in Algonquin Provincial Park and can pile high in some places, especially at the bottom of tree trunks.
Bright green moss covers the base of this tree as it loves the dampness and thrives here on some of the shaded trees that do not see much sunlight. Once Autumn does hits its finale, winter comes in fairly rapidly and then blankets the leaves and wilderness with a beautiful coating of snow. ... continue below the picture...
Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada is a stunning place to visit during the Autumn season as the forest lights up with an array of colours. Yellows, browns, reds, oranges and greens create a picturesque scene amongst the wilderness which in turn brings out many tourists to explore this natural phenomenon.
