The land throughout Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona, Arizona is made up of colorful red rocks and formations that are unlike any other throughout the United States. The scenery is outstanding as you drive through Oak Creek Canyon and stops along the way take you to picnic areas, swimming spots, hiking trails and great fishing places.
The town of Sedona, Arizona is located at the southern end of the Oak Creek Canyon where the rock formations separate giving way to more miles of open land. The land that encompasses Sedona, Arizona is extremely pretty with the red and white sandstone cliffs mixed in with different species of trees, bushes and cacti.
Sedona was founded back in 1902 but up until the 1960's the land and surrounding area was just another dot on the map. Since then, Sedona has become a popular place for tourists and prices around town have increased dramatically. People do not seem to take notice of the cost in Sedona, Arizona as the scenery and beauty of the land is what keeps bringing them back. ... continue below the picture...
