The township of Skagway, Alaska is located in the Inside Passage waterway. Considered "the gateway to the Klondike" the town is a popular cruiseship destination but is also connected by highway to various other communities. Broadway, main street, is lovely with its historical buildings and the visitor has a wealth of activites to choose from. Those of the more athletic nature can find kayaking or glacier vacation packages or take advantage the extensive network of camping, backpacking and hiking trails. Become a Klondike miner of old and dredge for gold.
Skagway is also famous for its flowers and offers Garden tours.
