From June through to November the Polar Bears in Hudson Bay, Manitoba conserve energy by sleeping or resting through the day. An adult polar bear fasts (goes without food) for the summer months with the exception of a lucky find when a seal gets stranded on rocks after the tide has ebbed, or a fallen bird that they may snack on.
Polar Bear resting on the rocks, Ursus maritimus, in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, Hudson Bay, Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.
