The snow has almost reached the top of the fence posts and mounds of snow continually build up during the winter months.The crucifix is set far enough back that the snow collects around the base of the display and never seems to fully block out this religious icon. To reach this area during the winter months in Wildgerlos Valley, one must be prepared to hike through feet of snow.
