The sun glistens off the ice formations which have been formed across the surface of the snow mounds covering the landscape in the Wildgerlostal Valley in Salzburger Land in Austria, Europe.Ice formations can occur on any surface whether it is water, snow or any type of landscape and happens when the snow melts a little, like in this picture and then freezes when the temperatures drop. Even if there is no snow blanketing the ground, ice formations can still show up if enough water has fallen and the winter frost moves in.The ice formations formed in this picture in the Wildgerlostal Valley are beautiful and look as though they would crumble when being touched.Ice formations on snow in the Wildgerlostal (Wildgerlos Valley), Salzburger Land, Austria, Europe.
