Many people do not find winter their favorite season, while others love the beauty of the snow as the sunlight sparkles off the peaks of snow mounds. In the Wildgerlos Valley in Austria during the winter months, the snow quickly builds and the mounds become deeper and much softer looking. The temperatures can become very frigid in this valley during the winter and on beautiful sunny days, the sunlight twinkling across the landscape is a picturesque sight. Each snow mound has its own unique shape to it and even though they look soft and fluffy, the ice formations can make the outer layer quite hard.Ice and snow formations in the Wildgerlostal (Wildgerlos Valley), Salzburger Land, Austria, Europe.
