A stop sign is a universal road sign, no matter what country you may be in, a red sign in an octagon shape always means stop. They are often placed at junctions for a reason and it is important to obey them. This one located near Beaver Cove on Vancouver Island may seem like it is in a random place, but it is located at a point where the road crosses the railway tracks.
