As the winter sun begins another day in the Wildgerlos Valley in Salzburger Land in Austria, the ice formations atop the rocks along a stream are slowly started to melt. Spring is nearing and soon the ice formations which create the beauty of the waterways across the valley in the winter, will be transformed into faster moving water and the surrounding landscape will be filled with greenery and fresh Spring wildflowers. The outer edges of the ice formations have become thin enough for the sunlight to sparkle through them as the stream trickles beneath them. Every drop which falls from the ice, adds another drop to the stream and hopefully the formations will not melt to quickly throughout the Wildgerlos Valley.Ice formations in a stream in the Wildgerlostal (Wildgerlos Valley), Salzburger Land, Austria, Europe.
