Photo: Toetoe Kaikoura Beach New Zealand

A small clump of toetoe with three plumes graces the beautiful beach of Kaikoura on the South Island of New Zealand.

The toetoe is closely related to a pampas grass found in South America, however toetoe are the largest native grass in New Zealand growing in clumps which can reach up to 3 metres high.

The small toetoe plant seen here features three plumes backdropped by the beautiful scenery of the Kaikoura Coast with mountains and and beach.

Toetoe plants along the Kaikoura Beach, Kaikoura, East Coast, South Island, New Zealand.
