The Torre del Oro was built in 1220 and formed part of the defence wall along the Guadalquivir River in Seville, the capital city of Andalusia, Spain. The Naval Museum, which is located in the Torre del Oro, was inaugurated in 1944.
Both the Torre del Oro and Naval Museum form a popular tourist attraction in the city of Seville.
