The city of Volterra in Tuscany, Italy is easy to walk around even though the streets are narrow. The medieval Tower Houses, on either side of the street, are joined by a brick archway. This one, Case Torri Buonparenti translates to Tower House of Good Parents, and is situated at the crossroad of Via Roma and Via Ricciarelli. In previous times two families, joined by marriage, lived in separate houses connected by the archway.Archway above a narrow lane in the City of Volterra, Province of Pisa, Region of Tuscany, Italy, Europe.
