The Tracy Arm - Fords Terror Wilderness Area in Alaska was officially assigned by the US Congress in 1980 and is under the control of the forest service. The wilderness is over six hundred thousands acres and consist mainly of snow and glacier covered mountains with steep valleys and ice falls.
Tracy Arm has an abundant of outdoor activities for you to experience such as hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing and rafting or take a day trip in Tracy Arm fjord to view icebergs, glaciers, and ice falls. Wildlife you may see on your journey include bear, wolves, deer, mountain goats, seal lions, whales and a variety of birds.
Tracy Arm is located approximately 45 miles South of Juneau, Alaska and is worth seeing when on vacation in Alaska.
