Most of the farm houses surrounded by lush green fields near Morella, Valencia in Spain in Europe have a poppy blooming every few feet and they are not considered a difficult flower to find. Throughout Europe the poppy is actually a common weed but it is also recognized worldwide as a wartime remembrance and has be known to be used on tombstones to symbolize eternal sleep.
The poppy grows wild in many towns and villages in Spain and most fields are covered with the red colored poppy but they are known to grow and blossom in white, pink, yellow, orange and blue hues as well.
