The Grand Canal runs through a majority of the city of Venice, Italy and is a public transportation by water bus and private water taxis. Starting from the lagoon near the train station, the Grand Canal makes a S-shape through the central districts of Venice and ends at the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute. It runs approximately two miles long with the widest point being around 350 feet.
