The Castillo de Morella overlooks the village of Morella in Valencia, Spain in Europe and both the village and castle have spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The village of Morella is situated on a rocky outcrop and is 1,072 meters above sea level enclosed by an ancient wall where stone gateways exit you out of this historical village.Morella and the local area are famous for its magnificent cheeses, cured meats, tarts, meatpies, herb liquer and a variety of other treats and everything is sold in unique shops along the main street. Restaurants throughout the village serve excellent shellfish and local vegetables which are not like any other you have ever tried.The village of Morella, Spain in Europe is extremely interesting to visit and the ruins of Castle Morella are an adventure for any level of explorers.
