The Visitor Information Centre, in the town of Wasagaming, is situated in Riding Mountain National Park. The park, located in the province of Manitoba, is situated in the middle of an agricultural landscape and forms part of the Manitoba Escarpment. This area protects a wide variety of plant and animal life. As it is a National Park of Canada, the Canadian government pays for the upkeep of the park and keeps it open for visitors to hike and enjoy the natural scenery of the Prairie Provinces of Canada. The park is also known for its birdwatching activities and even has a Bison compound that allows you to see these animals in their natural habitat and to observe them peacefully.
