It is amazing how the natural wonders of the world work and how stunning flowers such as these small purple flowers grow in the volcanic soil of Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand. After a volcanic explosion, the surrounding flowers and plant life of the area are usually destroyed but over the years flowers will again work their way through the volcanic soil and blossom.
After winter leaves and spring becomes apparent, flowers of multiple colors take in the warmer temperatures and begin to rear their colorful heads over the slopes of Mt Ruapehu on the Central North Island of New Zealand.
