The largest crater on White Island in New Zealand is now home to a lake where an enormous amount of steam rises out of the volcanic landscape making it extremely overbearing. The volcanic landscape is always being altered and there are now steam vents above the water level and steam has been known to rise to great heights.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/10.0, exposure time of 1/125 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 17mm.
