Situated in a gorge etched out by the Waiau River, the Waiau Ferry Bridge would formally opened to the public in 1887 and is the second bridge to have existed at this site.
125 odd years later the bridge is used not only as a means to cross the Waiau River, but also to satisfy the thrill seeking needs of visitors in the form of Bungy Jumping.
A jet boat speeds to pick up a Bungy Jumper from the Waiau Ferry Bridge over the Waiau River and Gorge near Hanmer Springs, South Island, New Zealand.
