The water details are such that the picture appears to be hazy due to the long exposure of the flowing water, water that is being generated by the rushing falls pooling in the water below as it comes rapidly down the rocks. This waterfall can be found in the coastal temperate rainforest near Port Alice and is one of many in this region that can be captured in a picture like this one.
Waterfalls have an almost magical quality to them as the force of the water coming over and down the falls can be beautiful.
Port Alice is a small quiet town set in the temperate coastal rainforest of northern Vancouver Island and it is surrounded by beautiful examples of nature, like this waterfall. ... continue below the picture...
... Residents and visitors to the area can hike in this rainforest and see the untouched areas of nature for themselves. When standing by this waterfall, you will be able to hear the rush and roar of the water, but little else as this is an undeveloped part of Vancouver Island and will hopefully remain that way.
