While spending time at Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA you never know what to expect as the clouds can come rolling in at any moment. Once the dark clouds surround the lake, they can change a beautiful sunset into a stormy evening in a matter of a few minutes.
The skies still remain fairly clear over the mountain range but as you can see in the forefront of this picture, rain is about to fall. These dark clouds can bring in thunder and lightening storms or easily pass by as quickly as they arrived.
The weather is a magnificent phenomenon and you can never be sure on what comes next. Great Salt Lake is the largest lake and covers an area of approximately 1,700 square miles which means it can be sunny at one end of the lake and storm clouds can be moving in at the other.
Sitting along the lake shore of the Great Salt Lake in Utah on an evening such as this can be very intriguing as the clouds form into dark thick masses. ... continue below the picture...
