The Helmcken Falls are situated in the Wells Gray Provincial Park of British Columbia with The Murtle River as the source of the water. The falls plunge 141 metres to the basin below which is three times higher than Niagara Falls only with less tourists. Wells Gray Provincial Park is a true wilderness park with waterfalls, hiking trails, and lakes which are ideal for canoeing.
