Vancouver is a city that is growing and developing all the time, so construction site and scaffolds covering buildings is not an uncommon sight. Especially before the city hosted the 2010 Olympic Games, it was a hive of activity for construction as officials were trying to ready the buildings in time for the world to arrive on their doorstep. The large Canadian flag covering part of the building shows just how patriotic Canada can be, and it makes the construction more aesthetic as well as hiding some of it. ... continue below the picture...
The Fairmont Hotel Downtown Vancouver, which can be seen peeking out behind this building, is an easily recognizable building in Vancouver, and many visiting celebrities and political figures have stayed there. Fairmont is a chain of hotels, but the Vancouver location may be one of their most famous and is located in the heart of the city for easy access to all attractions.
