On a windowsill made of stone, a row of flowers in ceramic pots bloom into an array of colours which brightens up the village of Hecho in Aragon, Spain. The vibrant pinks, reds and oranges of these flowers blossom to their fullest as they sit in the direct sunlight as greenery climbs the sides of the house.
The windowsill is encompassed by wooden shutters that can easily be closed when the flowers have had enough sun for the day. Behind the row of potted flowers is a sliding wooden shutter that rolls up and down to let fresh air into the house on the beautiful summer days that the village of Hecho receives. It also makes an easy opening when the flowers need watering or caring for.
