Knight Inlet - Great Bear Rainforest - British Columbia

Knight Inlet - The Traditional Territory of the Da’Naxda’xw Awaetlala First Nation, British Columbia, Canada

During my travels around the globe, few destinations rival the sheer beauty of Knight Inlet.

Nearly 35 years ago, I captured my first glimpse of a grizzly bear against its stunning backdrop.

This fjord teems with an abundance of wildlife, from majestic grizzlies and black bears to the graceful dance of humpback whales, playful dolphins, and the soaring presence of bald eagles. The symphony of nature is completed by the diverse array of seabirds that call this place home. And the awe-inspiring scenery, shaped by ancient glaciers, is simply unparalleled.

Today, Glendale Cove stands as the crown jewel of Knight Inlet, housing the esteemed Knight Inlet Lodge, steeped in the rich heritage of the First Nations. It's no wonder that Knight Inlet is renowned as one of the premier destinations for wildlife and grizzly bear viewing in all of North America.

I offer small, private guided sustainable family and photo tours with maximal 4 guests into Knight Inlet, you can find more infos here: Vancouver Island Photo Tours / Knight Inlet Grizzly Bear Viewing & Scenery
