When you hear "Africa" you may think of deserts and lions, but what about penguins, caves, and rolling sand dunes? Browse these pictures from the African countries of Namibia and South Africa will introduce you to a new side of this great continent.
South Africa has an extensive network of National Parks dedicated to preserving the variety os natural ecology and geography of the country. Tsitsikamma National Park hugs the southern coast, playing host to rare oystercatchers and miniature antelope. The Addo Elephant National Park is home to some 450 African Elephants- a population that has rebounded from just 11 elephants in 1931- but many more animals reside within the boundaries of the park, including the world's largest Cape gannet colony. On the east coast, Kruger National Park is a world famous wildlife destination with spectacular vistas as a backdrop to your animal sightings.

Skeleton Coast Park is so named for the number of shipwrecks along the shore. Inland, the mountains give way to the Kalahari Desert that Namibia shares with bordering country Botswana.
