At St Catharines Museum in Ontario, Canada, there are a variety of displays to see before reaching Lock 3 along the Welland Canal System where the ships enter. Here a statue of an anchor adorns the sidewalk giving visitors a chance to see how large anchors for each ship really are. Each ship has a number of anchors, as keeping a ship positioned in one place can be rather tricky especially in rougher waters. Tourists usually stop at this anchor statue to snap a few pictures just to see the size difference in a human compared to the anchor on a ship.
