Hundreds of olive trees adorn the landscape near the Museum of Olive near town of Baeza in Andalusia, Spain as the barren mountain slopes makeup the backdrop. Olive trees have been around since 3500 BC and will easily produce fruit even when planted in the most unproductive land. The olive tree has been known throughout Greece as a symbol of wisdom and peace with various religious beliefs behind it. There are many uses for the oil which is created from olives growing from these trees, one being food of course, while lighting, cosmetics, religion and pharmaceutical uses are some others. At the museum, there are exhibits which explains the history of the olive trees along with the different tools and equipment used for cultivating and the different steps in the production of the oil.Olive trees near the Museo de la Cultura de Oliva (Museum of the Olive) near the town of Baeza, Province of Jaen, Andalusia (Andalucia), Spain, Europe.
