A plant which adores the sun and needs only average watering, the Gazania (also known as Gazania rigens or Treasure flower, is a beautiful bright flower which is a delight in any garden.
The gazania grows with beautiful bright daisy-like petals with banded markings in various shades. They prefer a situation with full sun and well drained soil - although they do not like hot and humid climates.
Originating from South Africa, the Gazania is an annual flower which should be planted out after any danger of frost has passed.
Treasure flowers grow to a height of around 38 cm (15 inches) and make a great bedding plant or border flower plants.
