A coastline of granite outcrops and beautiful sandy beaches line the shores of the world's largest freshwater lake, Lake Superior which straddles the international borders of Ontario, Canada and the USA.
Agawa Bay on the north shore of Lake Superior, situated in the province of Ontario, Canada features a beautiful 3 kilometre long sandy beach fringed by pine trees and at times littered with drift wood. It is a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunset light up the horizon, silhouetting the surrounding scenery.
Agawa Bay is hemmed in by Montreal Island, which provides some protection from the large waves often seen on Lake Superior. This night the waves were moderate and the scenery and trees were still as the sunset came to herald in the evening.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/9.0, exposure time of 2/1 sec. on ISO 50, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 24mm.
