At first look the seemingly baron landscape of windswept sandstone formations in the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness area seems void of life. Spending more time in this ancient seabed can change that opinion.
Towering hoodoos, precariously balanced cap rocks, buttes, and strange alien type formations scattered on the desert floor mixed with changing light and shadows make Bisti Wilderness a photographers playground.
Rabbits, coyotes, prairie dogs, badgers, lizards, snakes, scorpions and tarantula dominate in the ground dwelling domains while ravens, hawkes, eagles, falcons, jays, doves dominte the skies above t he Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness.
