This bush tram on display at the Matakohe Kauri Museum was one of several used in the local "40 acre bush" at Ararua in Northland, New Zealand.
The bush tram system of log transportation was used widely in the kauri forests of the North, as well as other areas in New Zealand.
Though this bush tram is now a part of an exhibit at the Matakohe Kauri Museum, it was extensively used to transport kauri logs until it was abandoned on completion of the last timber cutting contract in 1909.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/2.8, exposure time of 1/30 sec. on ISO 400, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 24mm.
