A winter scene in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada. The Mistaya Canyon is a popular attraction during the summer or winter with its interesting rock formations.
During the winter months the canyon walls, which have been carved out by the Mistaya River, collect layers of snow and ice which create pretty formations on each level. Most tourists see the setting during the summer months only however, the scene is quite different during the winter especially after the snowfall.
