The architect Bernado Rossellino, was commissioned by Pope Pius II to create an ideal palace for his court in Pienza in the Province of Siena in the region of Tuscany in Italy. In 1459, he designed the Palazzo Piccolomini, a beautiful building with exactly one hundred rooms.
The elegant courtyard and loggia is at the back of the Palazzo and connects to the delightful gardens that overlook the valley. The architecture of this building is amazing and brings to life the real beauty which the Region of Tuscany has to offer.
